Play Texas Hold'em in Jackson and help charity

The Howell-Jackson Knights of Columbus Council 6201 will host a charity Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament on Sept. 27 at the council home on Bartley Road in Jackson. The event will start at 6 p.m. and the cost is $100 to participate, with additional re-buys and add-ons available during the event. The grand prize will be seven days in Aruba for two people, including airfare from Newark, valued at $2,600. Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 players, with the total prizes in excess of $7,000. All proceeds from the event will go toward local organizations. The committee is seeking sponsors for the event at amounts ranging from $100 to $300. All sponsors will be recognized at the event and on the council's Internet Web site.
