Robert Hansen

Mr. Hansen, 63, of Freehold Township, died Dec. 13, 2007, at home. Born in New York, he had lived in Queens, N.Y., New York City and Lakewood before settling in Freehold Township in 1979.Mr. Hansen was a 1966 graduate of Columbia University, New York City, where he earned a degree in chemical engineering. He was the vice president of manufacturing for Hemispherx Biopharma Inc., formerly Interferon Sciences Inc., New Brunswick. Prior to that, he was a research scientist for Worthington Biochemical Corp., Freehold. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Donna; two sons, Eric Hansen of Philadelphia and Jared Hansen of Freehold Township; and a sister, Lois Molholm of Dublin, Ohio. A funeral service was held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, with the Rev. Brian Eble officiating. Interment followed. Memorial donations may be made to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, 2700 Chestnut St., Chester, PA 19013.
