Elvis convention will raise funds for veterans
      The annual Friends of Elvis convention for charity will be held on April 19 at the New Egypt American Legion hall, 2 Meadowbrook Lane, Plumsted. The event, which is sponsored by Lori and Andrew Howard of Zanzibar Music, will pay tribute to those individuals who have served the country.

      A local student is among the winners of the New Jersey Radon Poster Contest. Michael Boldt, a seventh grade student at Howell Middle School South, was awarded second place for the poster he submitted. The winning posters illustrate the dangers of radon from indoor air.
