Strand Theater focuses on feeding the hungry

The historic Strand Theater, 400 Clifton Ave., Lakewood, is pairing with New Beginnings Christian Church, which collects and distributes food for the holiday season to low-income residents of Ocean County.Arepresentative from New Beginnings will be present at the Strand Theater events on March 5, 10, 13, 15 and 16 to accept donations of non-perishable foods for the less fortunate. Additionally, the Strand Theater has recently introduced the new Strand Café. The café is housed inside the Strand Gallery located off the main lobby and features a buffet dinner or lunch offered two hours before most theater shows. Seating is limited.
