Science Career Day will showcase careers

Georgian Court University, 900 Lakewood Ave., Lakewood, will host its 16th annual Science Career Day from 9 a.m. to noon March 28 at the Casino Building on the historic Lakewood campus. This year's event will include career opportunities in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and psychology.

The purpose of the day is to give attendees an opportunity to learn about the diverse scientific careers available and the education/training required for the career. They will also have an opportunity to talk one-on-one with representatives from these areas.

Several speakers will bring multimedia displays, equipment used in their field, or organisms with which they work, so students can get a better idea of what the career involves.

Attendees are also welcome to tour Georgian Court University's science facilities to better learn about the equipment used in the scientific fields. The event is free and open to the public. Details: (732) 987-2345.
