Ida E. Germann

Mrs. Germann, 91, of Freehold Township, died March 20, 2008, at CareOne in Jackson. During World War II she was a welder at the naval base in Seattle, and later owned and operated the Roost Luncheonette in Cliffwood Beach with her husband, Stephen. Mrs. Germann was predeceased by her husband in 1992; three brothers, Irvin, Paul and Philip Hedden; and a sister, Gladys Hahn. She is survived by a son, Jim, and his wife, Adda; a daughter, Virginia, and her husband, Leo Sekel, all of Jackson; a son, John, and his wife, Marci, of Freehold; and eleven grandchildren. Private services were held under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1228, Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.
