Strand Theater will host annual summer workshops for young people

LAKEWOOD - The Strand Theater will host its fifth summer theater youth workshop program in July. This year the workshop has been broken down into two separate two-week sessions. Each twoweek session will offer a trip to New York City to see a Broadway matinee.

Session I will be held July 7 through July 18. Session II will run from July 21 through Aug. 1.

In addition to the two sessions, children ages 6-13 from either group are invited to take part in the Missoula Children's Theatre production of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."

Missoula week will be held as a bonus week Aug. 4-8 with two shows on Aug. 9. That week will be free of charge.

All students enrolled will have a role/involvement in the Missoula production, according to a press release.

The fee is $395 per child per session. The discounted rate to attend both camps is $695. Sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
