Dealership to host blood drive LAKEWOOD - The Jim Curley Dealership, 1399 River Ave. (Route 9), is "revving up" this year's blood drive with an incentive for parents of elementary school students to give blood. Parents who donate blood can enter a drawing in "The WJRZ Blood Drive Challenge Donate for Disney," a trip for four to DisneyWorld in Orlando, Fla., paid for by Jim Curley Dealership. Parents who cannot donate blood at their child's school can give blood at the Jim Curley Dealership on June 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. WJRZ-FM morning co-host Spyder McGuire will distribute lunch for those who donate on their lunch breaks. He will also give out free T-shirts and prizes, such as New Jersey Lottery tickets, Broadway show tickets, and copies of the DVD "There Will Be Blood." Doug Sjonvall, promotions director for Greater Media, which owns WJRZ, said, "We are working with the Central Jersey Blood Center (CJBC) to help increase the amount of blood donations in New Jersey and to educate elementary school students on the importance and safety in donating blood." Central Jersey Blood Center, which services all major hospitals, keeps all donations of blood in New Jersey. In addition to the trip to Disney, the class that raises the most donations from the winning school will win a four pack of passes to the Liberty Science Center for each student.
