Boy Scouts seek old flags for retirement ceremony

Jackson Boy Scout Troop 104 will hold a flag retirement ceremony on its camping trip over the weekend of May 16.

Anyone who has a United States flag that needs retiring is asked to bring it to the Cassville firehouse, 785 Miller Ave, Jackson, on May 12 between 8-9 p.m.

Anyone interested in the troop is welcome to attend a meeting. Meetings are held Mondays at 7:30 p.m at the Cassville Volunteer Fire Company, 785 Miller Ave.

Scouting is available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award or who have completed the fifth grade, or who are between the ages of 11 and 17.
