Hall of Fame nominations being sought JACKSON - The Jackson Alumni Hall of Fame Trustees held their reorganization meeting for 2008. The following officers were elected: George White, chairman; Laura Johnson, vice chairman; Bernie Reider, treasurer; Arleen Polito, secretary; and Michelle Emmons, historian/ publicist. The trustees voted to award several future scholarships in memory of Regina "Reenie" Johnson, a longtime trustee who died in October 2007. Also discussed was the selection process for awarding two scholarships to members of this year's Jackson Memorial High School graduating class. Other items of business were the selection of a date for the 2008 Alumni Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This event will be held at theWoodlake Country Club on Oct. 19, starting at 12:30 p.m. Honorees for this event have not yet been selected. Nominations are being accepted at this time. To be considered for induction, a person must have attended a Jackson Township school and/or have made a significant contribution to the community in which they reside. Deadline for nominations will be June 2 in preparation for selections to be made on June 10.
