Many people helped to make event a success Main Street New Egypt and the Neighborhood Preservation Program (NPP) would like to thank the many people and organizations who came together on Nov. 2 to make the Fall Harvest Fest a great day for New Egypt. Many thanks to Mayor Ron Dancer and the Township Committee, the New Egypt police and fire departments, the volunteers from the New Egypt High School Interact Club and coordinator April Priest, volunteers from the Teen Advisory Board at the Ocean County Library and coordinator Rachel Lavoie-Dohn, and to Jim Shields, Roy Hendrickson and the public works department for their help in making things run smoothly. For assistance with parking, we thank the Presbyterian and Methodist churches, the Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Elementary School, the Recreation Department, Brite Lumber, Kovacs Corner, and John Gale. Thanks to the residents and businesses of Main Street and Evergreen Road. Also, thanks to Johns Barber Shop and Max's for helping out with electrical needs. For donations and financial assistance we warmly thank CMX Engineering, the New Egypt Marketplace, Big Woods Nursery, the Ocean County Library, Jay Sweet, Ace Landscaping and Agway. We appreciate and thank the many presenters and artists who shared their talents with the community that day, including Gary Gellman, Elisa Tang, the Jay Sweet Combo, Dr. Scott Jacobs, Jeanne Roveda, Herb Marinari, Bakin' Fat, Andrew Sanns, Fran Rivera, the Hlubick family, Bob Eigenrauch and Kevin Brown.
Thanks to the many vendors, crafters, and organizations who participated in the festival. And, of course, thanks to all of you who came out and supported the event. We hope you enjoyed the day. If you have any comments you would like to share, or if you would like to participate in the next festival, New Egypt Day on May 16, send an e-mail to newegyptevents@ verizon.net or call 609-758-7461. |
