JACKSON — The friends and family of Bob Forcier will host a benefit for him on July 25 from noon to 6 p.m. at Just Plain Jane's, East Veterans Highway near Grand Avenue, Jackson.

"Bob was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is now unable to work," said Wallace W. Jamison, secretary/treasurer of the Jackson Fire District No. 2 Firefighters Association and the International Association of Firefighters, AFL-CIO Local 4395.

"Bob Forcier is the brother of Butch Forcier, an associate member of our local fire department. He is also a life member of the Cassville Fire Company," Jamison said.

Jamison said Forcier does not have medical insurance and said he is facing the prospect of a host of medical expenses.

A donation of $25 for adults and $10 for children ages 11-18 is being asked. Children under 11 will be admitted free. For more information, call 732-928-0097.
