      Public can learn about swine flu

      JACKSON — A seminar that will inform members of the public about the risks of the H1N1 (swine flu) strain will be held in the Jackson municipal building, 95 W. Veterans Highway, at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 30.

      Residents will be informed about measures they can take to prevent the virus from infecting themselves and their family.

      Representatives from the Ocean County Board of Health will discuss the differences between the H1N1 virus and the seasonal flu. Attendees will learn how the H1N1 virus mutates and how it is spread, as well as treatment options and vaccinations.
